In collaboration with Iran’s Cultural Association of Children and Youth Book Publishers (CACBP), Saba Agency facilitated the presence of Iran’s children’s paintings in the 31st Annual World Children’s Picture Contest.
“The Annual World Children’s Picture Contest” is an international event held by IE-NO-HIKARI association. The IE-NO-HIKARI association has held this international contest since 1993 with the hope of “creating friendships and mutual understanding between children all over the world and enabling them to become.” This year’s theme supported self-expression and children between the age of 6 and 15 years old could participate in this event. The entery period was between June 1 to October 2, 2023.
CACBP received 611 paintings from all over the country, and 581 paintings met the age criteria or physical requirements to be shipped for final entry to Tokyo, Japan.
At Saba Agency we try to facilitate cultural events. Our main focus is on cultural events geared towards children and young adults. For this event, we were approached by CACBP to help maximize the participation of Iranian children in the 31st Annual World Children’s Picture Contest. CACBP was informed by the Iranian Embassy in Tokyo through a correspondence by Islamic Culture and Communication Organization about this contest. CACBP’s Board of Directors believed that this event could be important for our children in Iran, and decided to participate by bringing sponsors and supporting organizations on board.
The followings are the activities that we followed through:
- Translating the application form from English to Persian and designing an extra information form in Persian to collect contestants’ information.
- Promoting the event through CACBP and CACBP sponsors’ social media channels in order to inform, engage, and assist families and children.
- Assisting children by translating their information (including the picture titles) into English and filling out all the Entry Attaching Labels.
We are looking forward to receive good news after the judging takes place, and the final results are out in January 2024.
